Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at Entebbe Airport and you are met by our staff, you will be transferred to The RainForest Lodge Mabira for your overnight stay. The rain forest Lodge is an Eco-lodge located at the heart Mabira forest hosting over 100 species of birds, butter flies, insects and 3 primates. You may opt to relax in the evening or take a forest walk around the lodge.

Day2: Jinja (Rafting/River Surfing)

After Breakfast, depart for Jinja and start the ultimate Nile rafting experience. Thunder through legendary rapids, drift quietly through deep green pools and revel in the thrill of river surfing. Overnight and meals at the camp along the river. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Rafting/River surfing & Bungee Jump

You will go for day two of the rafting and in the evening go for the Nile High Bungee Jumping where you will leap over the source of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

DAY 4: Quad Biking along the Nile

After early breakfast take a one day Quad Biking that takes you through Kyabirwa Village and downstream along the river, past some of the big rapids such as ‘Silverback’. The biking takes you through the Scenic rides through forests, farms and villages exploring the riverbanks from Bujagali Falls, Jinja. In the evening return to the Hotel for your Dinner and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

DAY 5: Day Source of the Nile-Departure

After breakfast, take a visit to the source of the Nile after which you are transferred back to Entebbe for your return flight. Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast.

Includes: Accommodation and meals as indicated, 2 days rafting fees, 1 day quad biking, visit to the source of the Nile, transportation in a 4×4 vehicle with an English Speaking Driver/Guide, all transfers, Amref Flying Doctor Medical insurance for evacuation, all transfers.

Day 1: Arrival, airport transfer

Arrival at Entebbe International airport, pick up and transfer to Red Chilli Hideaway for your accommodation.

Day 2: To Lake Mburo Park

Pick up from you overnight accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe and transfer westward to Lake Mburo Park, along the way, stopover at the Uganda Equatorand the craft village at Mpambire and shop for a souvenir. Take pictures of the Ankole long horned cattle before arrival for lunch at Mantana Luxury, Tented Camp or Mihingo Lodge. In the evening, take a leisurely boat ride on Lake Mburo. You will see schools of hippos, crocs and an impressive varietyof birdlife. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 3: Lake Bunyonyi

Morning game drive/walk in the park. With it`s unique characteristic ofacacia woodland, it is the only national park where you can see the beautiful gigantic Eland. You will see Burchells’ Zebra, Topi, bush buck,Buffalo and other ungulates. Thereafter, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in the shadow of the mountainous Gorilla Sanctuary. Overnight at Bunyonyi SafarisResort.Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 4: To Bwindi Gorilla Sanctuary

After breakfast, take a boat ride on the Lake Bunyonyi and thereafter proceed to the gorilla sanctuary of Bwindi through beautiful mountainous scenery known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Overnight at Engagi Lodge orKitandara Luxury tented Camp. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking

Early morning breakfast and ranger allocation. Adventure through the forest tracking the Mountain Gorillas. You will find a Gorilla family within 30mins – 8hrs. After a picnic lunch in the forest, an hour with the Gorillas,return to base for dinner and overnight at Engagi Lodge or Kitandara Luxurytented Camp. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 6: To Queen Elizabeth Park, launch trip

Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park through the bottom of the EastAfrican Rift Valley through Ishasha, the area famous for its tree climbingLions. In the afternoon, take a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. This is believed to have the largest concentration of Hippo in Africa, a paradise of local and migrant birds. Dinner and overnight either at Simba SafariCamp.Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 7: Game Drive, Chimpanzee Tracking

After a morning cup of tea at about 6:30am, depart for a game drive along the Kasenyi track. You may find Lions, leopard, buffalo, Elephant, Hyena,Warthog, etc. After a picnic lunch, transfer to the Chambura gorge for a nature walk, escorted by a ranger guide, you will track the chimpanzeesresident in the gorge. Return to your accommodations for dinner and overnight at either Simba Safari Camp. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch andDinner.

Day 8: To Kibale Park

Early morning breakfast and thereafter, depart through the East African RiftValley and the shadow of the Rwenzori mountains to Kibale Forest Park. Afterlunch, transfer for a hike on the crater hills of Fort Portal. Enjoy spectacular views of the Crater lake beneath. Dinner and overnight at NdaliLodge or Kibale Primate Lodge Bandas.Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch andDinner.

Day 9: Kibale Primate Trek

Take a second chance tracking Chimpanzees, this time in Kibale Forest. Theforest is also home to the rare and endemic Red Colobus monkey, grey cheeked mangabeys, black and white colobus, vervet, pottos, etc. Kibale is home to the densest population of primates in Uganda. Return to your accommodationsfor dinner and overnight. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 10: To Murchison Falls

Early morning breakfast and thereafter, depart through Kyenjojo and Budongo Forest to Murchison Falls Park. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed enroute.Overnight at Red Chilli Camp. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.

Day 11: Game drive, Boat Ride

After an early morning breakfast, escorted by a ranger guide, take an earlymorning game drive along the Buligi Circuit. Game in this area include,Lion, legendary giant forest hog, large herds of elephants making their waydown to the water, buffalo, warthog , bush bucks, etc. Return to the Lodgefor Lunch and in the afternoon, proceed on a boat cruise upstream theVictoria Nile to the bottom of the falls at the “devil’s cauldron”. Alongthe river banks, it is a paradise of Hippos and Crocodiles. Take pictures of Murchison falls and later return to your accommodations for dinner andovernight. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 12: Back to Kampala

After breakfast, transfer to the top of the falls, take pictures and thereafter, return to Kampala and transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.

Cost includes: Accommodation, Meals, Park entry fees, Game drives, Launch cruises and boatrides, Gorilla and chimpanzee permit, Gorilla Permit, all entry fees, bottled mineral water and private 4×4 ground transportation in a 4×4 SafariVehicle with an English speaking driver guide and Amref flying doctor medical services.
